Round Up of 2018

Oh. My. Gosh. This year has been INCREDIBLE!! We couldn't have predicted how busy we would be welcoming hundreds of brides-to-be through our doors. Here, we take a little look back over our first year:

We were thrilled to be crowned 'Most Outstanding Bridal Retailer - UK'

After opening our doors in January this year, we never could have imagined the success of our first year! We have won 'Most Outstanding Bridal Retailer' with WedLuxe Magazine, and made finalists for both the nation-wide British Wedding Awards & Northern publication Little White Books (Winners are to be announced in January for both of those awards). If you wish to cast your vote, the links to both awards are below:

As well as our much-loved designers Sophia Tolli, St Patrick & Casablanca, we also welcomed major brand Enzoani to the fold, with their 'Beautiful' range of gowns priced £1200 and under and boasting a host of customisation options. With state-of-the-art fabrics and quirky design elements, we can't wait to introduce these unconventional dresses to our brides!

Another new designer has also been added to our collections, but more on that later...

Here at Love Story, we strive to offer what other boutiques can't, be that atmosphere, range of gowns or Grandma! As part of this effort, we decided to open a new category to our current offering in the form of an exclusive 'Vintage Section'. Most shops only offer either/or when it come to vintage-inspired gowns, but how will you know if this style for you without trying both modern AND old-school designs? So to save a bride-to-be from having to leave one shop and visiting another which specialises one style or another, we decided to combine the two under one roof (it just so happens that vintage/Old Hollywood has been a passion of mine since I was young anyway).

With this in mind, and as part of welcoming our new designers on board, we also welcomed quirky vintage range 'Brighton Belles' by True Bride ( ) an exclusive range of 1950's short dresses with a huge range of colour options, to sit alongside our other new designs in our new Vintage Section. These cute shorties incorporate intricate beading, colour if wanted, and lace sleeves to suit all shapes and sizes.

Our diary for next year looks set to be even busier with trips to London, Madrid, Cambridge and Harrogate in the pipeline, new gowns from Sophia Tolli, St Patrick, Enzoani and Casablanca on the way, plus adding to our vintage-inspired line of shorty dresses. We have lots more wedding fairs at our favourite venues booked in and exciting plans for our award-winning window displays - we can't wait to show you what's in store!

But most importantly, we have welcomed over 70 beautiful brides who have become #LoveStoryBrides ! Here are just a few:
