A couple of weeks ago, Love Story Bridal were invited to a photoshoot by the divine Gemma at Bluebells & Daisies, at the rustic wedding venue Wyresdale Park situated in the picturesque village of Scorton within the Forest of Bowland. Driving up a dirt track on a rainy Tuesday, surrounded by incredible views of the British wilderness, I approached the striking gothic country house.
After my initial confusion over parking (the venue is a sprawling property with several buildings clustered together & I'm easily confused), I found my way to 'Beauty Headquarters' where make-up artist Emma Askew and hairdresser Danielle Wallis were primping and pampering my gorgeous models. Their brief was to produce a soft, romantic overall look inspired by our beautifully rustic surroundings. Ivory florals, blush tones and lots of greenery were the main themes undercut with gold elements.
Once brews were made and we'd all warmed up, it was time to meet photographer Matt Grainger who produced all of these impeccable images with such ease and familiarity that you would sometimes forget he was there (a great talent for any photographer). His unobtrusive manner and artistic eye made working with him a delight from beginning to end.
Our models looked natural and elegant thanks to our skilled beauty team mentioned previously who were friendly & chatty, open to ideas and styling while producing timeless, natural looks for our girls.
Snack provider was of course Love Story's infamous Grandma, while our favourite boho-baker Sugar Wishes brought yummy macaroons, lots of giggles and the most beautiful naked cake with flecks of gold (her sponge is to die for!)
Stationary was classically beautiful and provided by the talented Elizabeth Tyrer Design and added quirkiness was brought to the shoot by the fabulous pastel pink Birdie Photobooth Camper Van! (You'll have to wait until next week for those pictures)... An item that I have decided I require in my garden daily & a memorable addition to any wedding day - see the pictures to see why.
I think all of the day's collaborators would agree that this photoshoot would not have been the success that it was without the divine human that is Gemma of Bluebells & Daisies. Her natural flair for design, permanent smile and sheer talent with all things botanical, were the life force behind such a magically creative day. Her floral displays ooze style as you can see in the images!
I hope you love the photo's as much as we do. This, Part 1 features our 'Josephine' gown by Casablanca with floral headpeice by Sophie & Luna London available at Love Story - The links to all collaborators at this shoot are listed at the end.

Next week: Hello Birdie! The cool campervan you need to see!
Lots of love,
