2021 Coming in HOT!

Whilst the beginning of 2020 has been an utter write off, one good thing amongst the many if you know where to look, is that we have had plenty of time to scour high and low to find you the next biggest trends coming to bridal! Obviously here at Love Story Bridal we promote timeless looks that never date so we've selected the trends we think will be most appropriate and won't leave you cringing years down the line.

Micro Weddings

After an odd start to 2020, we're all taking stock and focusing on what - and who - really matters. You know what this means, ditch the table plan, forget inviting hundreds of guests you never see and decide on what is most important to you and your husband/bride. A micro wedding is the perfect way to celebrate your relationship in the most intimate way, and will also cut down on some of the stresses that come with planning a wedding. Do your guests REALLY need favours? Do you care if you aren't driven in a horse & carriage? Decide on your budget and where you most want that money to go. A micro wedding is perfect for the more laid back and relaxed couple! If this seems a bit too cheesy for you you’re going love our next trend…

Cheese cake?

Ok, so this is more of a continued trend, and if you have a sweet tooth this one may not appeal to you. But when we say cheese cake we don’t mean the delicious creamy dessert, the reality is a little stronger - if that’s what you're in to. Towers of brilliant brie, mountains of munch-able manchego and countless rounds of creamy camembert will fill up your guests and show off your civilised palette! A distinct lack of sugar doesn’t mean that these ‘cakes’ can’t be sweet too, paired with fruit or fresh flowers this is an amazing alternative for anyone preferring a savoury option. Using cheese wheels as your cake is also an amazing way to help a small local business, perhaps reaching out to your local farm shop or doing a little research in your area could open a world of opportunities.

Here’s a Bright Idea…

When it comes to venue decoration options, the possibilities are endless! Backdrops, centrepieces, live animals - we've seen it all! So why not go timeless (yes, we're obsessed), and simply create an atmousphere? Using lighting & bulbs as a feature in your decorating is chic & understated.

When paired with a boho or woodland theme in your venue, fairy lights or even bigger filament bulbs often give a really whimsical atmosphere. You could also dress a flower arch with some low hanging bulbs or simply drape your chosen lighting along your top table.

Pearls, Pearls, Pearls...

We are seeing more and more brides opting for pearls as accessories & with them being so timeless (there it is again!), we’re really not surprised!

There are so many ways to wear pearls - we have LOADS of goodies in the boutique for brides to try, with single pearl hair pins, pearl hair vines, pearl edged veils - you can even incorporate them into your bouquet, or pop on a pearl belt for your reception. The possibilities are endless! We love the idea of pairing our Kennedy gown (a stunning, simple mikado Sophia Tolli gown, with some pearl accessories, why not treat your bridesmaids to a pearl bracelet or earrings and really get the bride tribe feels going!

Think Big & Green!

Lots of our gorgeous brides are opting for bigger florals and lush green foliage and this trend looks set to continue into 2021 and beyond! There’s mentions of eucalyptus, white roses and sprigs of mint or sage (imagine the smells!). The bolder the better with these flowers; think matching textures with your dress, scents that compliment your signature fragrance, or even how things will look as home décor afterwards, we are all about that bouquet preservation after the day! (All Love Story Brides get a cheeky little discount for this service from our friend Sarah at Olive Owl Flowers: )
